Vũ Miên (1718 - 1782), is a notable historian from 18th century to pre-19th century in Vietnam history. Vũ Miên was born in 1718 in former Xuân Lan village, currently is Ngọc Quan thorp - Lương Tài district, Bắc Ninh province. Vũ Miên is the only son of a great mandarin in Le-Trinh dynasty. Vũ Miên did get highest scores in many Confucian examinations, then finally was awarded Jinshi title in 1748.
